Who believes in a second chance? I do.
Why?
Because I got to see my very favorite band when they came to Jakarta. Twice.
Yeah. I believe in second chances, and last August 23rd, it’s the second time I saw you, guys.
But, I’ve never expected to have this second chance as a farewell too.
First of all, I’d like to thank kak Angela. Without her, I wouldn’t know a band called A Rocket to the Moon who has helped me through so much in my life. Even it’s only by listening to their songs.
I might not be a fan from the very first start, it was only 2009 when I discovered them up. But, being a fan, as if it is for me, it’s not about who has been there the longest, but it’s who would stay there the longest.
And then, one day, I woke up to this…
You have no idea what it feels like to wake up and knowing that your favorite band is splitting up. I feel my heart’s breaking into small pieces. Well, I should’ve remembered. Nothing lasts forever, darling. Everything that comes will go. Everything that starts will end.
And now it’s their turn.
Nick is going to stay in MA,
Halvo is going back to AZ,
Andrew will go back to CA,
Justin will return to TN,
and
I will be here crying.
It’s really hard and it’s so sad to accept the
reality but however, I do really hope that they will find their own way
to succeed as solos.
Thank you, Nick.
Thank you, Eric.
Thank you, Justin.
Thank you, Andrew.
Thank you for everything, A Rocket to the Moon.
I’ll see you guys in some other time, aye?
P.S
May 14th, 2011 and August 23rd, 2013 in Jakarta are the best nights I’ll never want to forget.
Your fan.
